The study by pollster CBOS found that 77 percent of respondents view the war against Iran as unjustified, including 51 percent who expressed strong opposition and 26 percent who said it was "rather" wrong.

Only 8 percent supported the move, while 15 percent were undecided or declined to answer, state news agency PAP reported.

The conflict began on February 28, when US and Israeli forces launched military operations against Iran, which retaliated with strikes on targets across the Middle East, including cities in Israel.

The survey also found that 49 percent of respondents believe the conflict threatens Poland’s security, with 16 percent saying it "definitely" poses a risk and 33 percent saying it "rather" does.

By contrast, 42 percent said it does not threaten Poland, including 6 percent who answered "definitely not" and 36 percent "rather not."

Nine percent were undecided.

At the same time, Poles overwhelmingly support their government’s decision not to send troops to Iran.

The poll showed that 89 percent rated the stance positively, including 60 percent who said it was "definitely" the right decision and 29 percent who said it was "rather" right.

Six percent did not respond, while 6 percent expressed a negative view.

The survey was conducted from March 23 to 25 on a sample of 1,000 respondents.
